Chris Squeo | Russo Development

Chris brings broad experience in real estate development, having worked as a developer, advisor, engineer, construction manager, and subcontractor. This diverse background helps him identify risks and opportunities throughout a project and lead teams through them efficiently.

At Russo Development, Chris oversees construction across the company’s projects and supports the development team with planning and design.

Previously, Chris was Senior Vice President of Development & Construction at Taconic Partners in Manhattan. During his ten years with the firm, he led the development of a wide range of projects—from new builds to historic restorations—in luxury residential, commercial, life sciences, and mixed-use sectors. Key projects included One Grand, The Sterling Mason, 525 West 52nd Street, The Ellery, West End Labs, Hudson Research Center, and the award-winning 817 Broadway restoration. He also co-led advisory work for corporate clients like Nuveen and helped plan a major tech campus across 1.5M sf of office space in Manhattan.

Earlier, Chris worked as an engineer and construction manager contributing to projects like the Fulton Center and Corbin Building restoration, and leading projects for institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum, Riverdale Country School and The Masters School.

He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Delaware, is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New York, and lectures at NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, live music, sports, and time with his wife and three children.
