Nelly Youssef | Russo Development

Nelly Youssef joined Russo Development in 2016 as a Junior Project Architect. Through her continued dedication and professional growth, she has advanced to her current position as Vice President of Design Development.

In this role, Nelly oversees and directs Russo Development’s design process, providing strategic leadership across the entire project lifecycle—from initial concept development and programming through detailed design and construction delivery. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring each project aligns with its design vision and branding goals. Nelly collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners, coordinating the efforts of architects, civil and structural engineers, MEP professionals, and interior designers to deliver cohesive, innovative, and high-performing environments.

Nelly’s diverse background has profoundly influenced her architectural perspective, shaping a design philosophy that respects history while embracing modern, forward-thinking solutions. Her approach is grounded in a deep passion for contemporary architecture and a belief in the power of design to enrich communities and elevate everyday experiences.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and environmental design.

Outside of work, Nelly enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, embracing new experiences, and relaxing by the beach. A passionate traveler, she finds inspiration in both historic and contemporary architecture around the world—drawing on the diverse styles and cultural insights she encounters to inform and energize her work.
